Why is it - that trendy fashion freaks are labelled as such?
.Well let me tell you a little secret in the way of a - wake up
call. What we need to do at this stage is first decipher what
the word freak means. There can be many different renditions of
the word - but if we are talking fashion then that is a horse of
a different colour as the saying goes.
If you have been called a freak at some stage in your life then
the person on the end of the abusive tongue may see you as a
sort of human oddity. The word can also denote an image of
unusual or deformed vision.
Fashion is a serious business where we all like and love to
keep up with the latest trend but however in saying that, you
need to sit back and ask yourself - are you going over your
budget or are you next in line for an onslaught of abusive
remarks all because you are following the fashion traits of
today. Listen up guys and gals, how can any one fashion designer
dress every individual on the planet of every different shape
and size and still get it right?
So there you have it in black and white - not everyone will be
ideally suited to the platform shoe, denim dungarees or the up
the bum thong that is in fashion - could this be the answer to
why a person is called a fashion freak. Another matter you have
to address is why you dress up in the latest fashion creations,
is it for you or for others.
Regardless of what is said a great many people will still
choose to go on wearing the fresh new designs that grace the
rails of our fashion boutiques - and rightly so - on this I
agree, but only if that particular design is suitable and able
to take that inner beauty from within, so that you can inject
that warm beauty to glow on the outside while wearing the in
thing (fashion garment).
Listen up ladies and gents if you want to make an impression by
wearing garments as such then get it right. There are some folk
than can pull off wearing any outfit even if it appears that it
was purely designed for Coco the clown - but unfortunately if
you are one of those people that will evidently portray the look
of a clown regardless of what you do to alter it - in the way of
adding accessories, then do not fret. Remember beauty is in the
eye of the beholder so let the beholder be you when making
decisions on what you feel will look right as well as
comfortable..
Decisions made to put the latest designs into the high street
boutiques - were those made by that of clowns them self.

Fashion Marketing Schools In California: Is The World Of Fashion
Marketing In The Golden State Right For You?
By Jessica Bradbury
Many people dream of attending fashion marketing schools. In
California there are many schools that an aspiring fashion
designer or fashion entrepreneur can choose to attend to learn
their stuff, if they know where to start looking and if their
head is in the right place. Many people think that anybody can
afford to go to and get into any of the fashion marketing
schools in California, but that is not true.
In essence, the fashion industry is a great deal like the art
industry, and art students need to do more than breathe and have
a heartbeat to get into art school, don’t they? Even so, if
anybody could get into fashion marketing schools, there would be
a good many failures and drop-outs as the industry is simply not
for everyone.
How to Know If California is Right for You
It is not just fashion marketing schools that must be
considered but also whether or not the location is right.
California is certainly a beautiful state, but it is also jammed
full of people, cars, and smog; that paints a pretty nasty
picture but anybody who has ever been to California should know
that things are quite to the contrary.
It is a beautiful state with a booming economy in the fashion
niche, and it is where many artists and designers actually get
their start. If you can’t deal with a little bit of pollution,
some rather strange people, and a whole lot of noise and
business then most of the fashion marketing schools in
California are probably not going to be the best idea for you.
Choosing the Right Fashion Schools in California
If you decide that California is the type of environment that
you would do well in, it is just a matter of deciding on the
right fashion marketing schools. In California many of the art
institutes have fashion divisions and fashion majors that people
can get marketing degrees in, but finding the right one for you
is the most important thing. If you prefer to learn in a more
intimate environment and get individualized attention, then
perhaps a private art schools if for you.
Some of the best fashion marketing schools in California are
public colleges that don’t have as stringent of an admissions
process as the private ones do, yet they still put out
graduates. See which colleges graduate the most students and the
average cost of attendance as well as other factors that matter
to you in selecting a school.
Choosing the right fashion marketing schools is not always the
easiest thing to do. Deciding to attend fashion marketing
schools in California is a big step, and if you want to be
prepared for it you can start now. Do your research and find out
which schools best suit your needs and start submitting your
application materials. If you can get all of your ducks in a
row, this can be one of the biggest steps in your life.
I hope you find this article informative as to decide if
choosing this type of career path in the state of California is
right for you.

Do you as a fashion trend setter know, that the clothes/Jewelry
you wear tells a story about you as an individual? It is fact;
the way you dress and present yourself in public dominantly
speaks volumes about your whole domain. It is the onlooker on
the street that holds the ending chapter when weighing up what
type of person they think you are from the clothes you wear.
More often than not people tend to conjure up a personal opinion
based on the whole entity of your image. Regardless of what
fashion designer gear is displayed in the fashion boutique
window, remember, the dummy is not out to make an impression. To
dress to impress is all well and good, however it is who you
wish to impress that may cause the denial of a friendship or
worse a relationship if dress sense (code) is not suitable.
Latest trendy fashion designs can be dressed up or down for
approval in certain situations. Sadly to make an impression you
may find you have to make changes e.g. choice of identity
(style) just to please folks who label you as being a fashion
freak.
A first impression is where you make an impact on others, this
is crucial if you seek acceptance into a particular circle of
friends. Unfortunately fashion trend setters are judged by the
clothes they wear.
Judgemental opinions should be kept under wraps because, it is
not what is on the outside that counts, it’s the warm inner
beauty on the inside that really matters.
However people find this hard to understand or in some cases do
not want to understand that fashion trend setters - really are
nice people regardless of the stud in the nose or Medusa
hairstyle. Some fashion trend setters are seen as outcasts and
therefore suffer rejection all because of the clothes that is
worn.
A couple of examples below will tell you how the latest fashion
or your very own personal wardrobe can let you down.
1 “Vacancy for bank manger”; you dress in creations designed by
Vivienne Westwood for your interview, (orange skirt, black
fishnet stockings purple shawl and pink bows in your hair), and
before your foot is through the door, you are shown it after
being told the position has been filled. A judgmental opinion on
your appearance has just lost the bank a fashion trend setter
with an IQ of a 160.
2 What of the toffee nosed snob in the office spruced up in his
pin striped suit, tie and briefcase? Sadly he loses out on love
because of status issues, i.e. choosing to ignore the petite
flower hippie girl he passes each morning going to the office.
His world is only in acceptance of seamed stockings stilettos
and hair neatly pinned up. “Wrong move” many an office clerk has
ended up with a bird with no brains.
Remember “Never judge the book by the cover” Seeing through an
image can result in a perfect relationship/friendship.
For those with status issues who pass judgement and make false
assumptions about a person based purely upon the garments they
wear,
Then look - listen and learn from the example below.
1 Take the fashion trend setter dressed in combat pants, boots
- baseball cap and pierced tongue
2 Take the female office assistant dressed in a tailor made
suit, sling back patent shoes and hair neatly clipped in a bun.
3 Take the hippie dressed in ankle length skirt, leather
sandals, flowers in her hair and bells round her neck
Now strip the 3 ladies down to the bare essentials (naked) and
what do we have. Yes a triple duplication of the female species.
The only difference may be that of size and weight in each
woman. There is a lesson to be learned from this and that is,
you have no story due absent content. Without clothes we have no
character to base a story on.
Fashion trend setters who want to make a good impression on
their first date, need to keep their clothes on. You do not
undress to impress at least until you know your partners name.

By Sher Matsen
Narciso Rodriguez was born in New Jersey in 1961 to Cuban
parents. He studied at Parsons School of Design in New York,
and upon graduation worked for designers such as Anne Klein,
TSE, and Calvin Klein.
His parents were not overly happy that Narciso choose fashion
as his career. They would have much rather seen him in
something more serious such as architecture.
Whether on the runway or on the red carpet, designer Narciso
Rodriguez is in demand. He began is designer career in 1985 as
a design assistant for fashion legend Anne Klein.
Narciso has a gift for fitting a dress so that it is flattering
to the shape of the woman’s body. “It’s so fantastic,” Narciso
says, “to create a frame for a woman’s personality and her true
beauty.”
While working at Calvin Klein Narciso and Carolyn Bessette
[later to become Carolyn Kennedy] became best friends. It was
Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s wedding dress design that brought
Narciso front and center stage in the design world.
Narciso’s wedding dress design for Carolyn was the buzz around
the world. On September 21, 1996, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy
stepped out of church on the arm of John F. Kennedy Jr. Women
went gaga, literally drooling over Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s
wedding dress.
Carolyn’s wedding dress was made from pure white silk. This
simple dress was combined dress elegance, classiness, and
sexiness into one knockout package.
Woman began to realize a wedding dress could in fact look sexy.
This was a whole new concept, never heard of before. For years
most women had landed up looking like an overstuffed pilsbury
dough boy on their wedding day. Narciso had accomplished in
Carolyn’s wedding gown what women thought to be impossible. She
had been transformed into this bewitching sexy princess. That
look was created by one of her best friends, Narciso Rodriguez.
It was Carolyn’s wedding dress that made Narciso’s a household
name.
Once word got out who had designed the dress, Narciso was in
demand by every major designer in the world. A dream came true
when Narciso joined the house of LMVH. The draw back to this
career move was that Narciso spent his life living out of a
suitcase with very little time to spend with family and friends
which he valued and missed dearly.
Narciso pressed on encouraged by the idea that he had finally
“made it.” However, working for a large company can often
stifle ones own independent design ideas, and it wasn’t long
before Narciso discovered he no longer loved his work.
The turning point in his life was when Carolyn Bessette Kennedy
was was killed in a plane accident.
Narciso had lost one of his dearest and best friends and for
him this was a reality check and a wake up call.. Life without
friends, family and the love of his work didn’t seem like such
a great opportunity anymore. Narciso left LVMH and came home
realizing what he needed was the freedom of his own design
collection.
Narciso was able to focus on his own line of clothing creating
the perfect look for woman. Rather than designing dresses for
matchsticks, Narciso’s designs accentuated
